Designer’s Joy

Designer’s Joy

In 2013 while serving on the Plateau, I received a call as usual requesting for a Logo Design. This time, it came from someone I highly esteemed and for a cause everyone in my local community back at home were passionate about. In fact, my good friend and Teacher-Per-Excellence Zam Nyaerere published an article on the subject in Sceptre Magazine.

Not long after the call, I headed straight to my design corner.

Yes! Design Corner.

Serving on the Plateau came with lots of fun and happy moments but frankly, it was hard keeping up with design chores in the midst of a million activities that characterised the life of a Youth Corper. Somehow, I managed to carve out a little Design Corner and an old laptop was all I had.

In roughly three days, I was done with the Logo Design for the proposed school and delivered the graphics via mail all for #FREE. Absolutely FREE!!!

Four (4) years later, the project is launched and the Logo Design finally unveiled to the public. The unspeakable joy of a Designer was unmasked and the deep sense of fulfilment, knowing that I was part of the work in its genesis and my #FREE gift on the beautiful Plateau didn’t end up in the trash bin.

A designer’s Joy is to see the actual implementation and general success of any project he/she is part of and personally, that’s where i find fulfilment.
